New Daily Passenger Train Between Guntakal and Tirupati Flagged Off


Shri Ananta Venkatrami Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament / Anantapur flagged off Train No. 57478/57477 Guntakal-Tirupati-Gunatakal daily Passenger Train, via Dharmavaram and Pakala at Guntakal Railway Station today( o­n 10th March, 2012.)Shri Madhu Sudan, Hon’ble MLA, Guntakal, Shri T.P. Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Shri E.V. Krishna Reddy, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division and other senior Divisional officials participated in the inaugural function.

This passenger trian is o­ne of the new trains announced in the Railway budget:2011-12. This Train will run to the following regular schedule as published in the Southern Zone Time Table: July-2011 issue :-

Train No. 57478 Guntakal-Tirupati Passenger will depart Guntakal at 18 00 hrs and arrive Tirupati at 6 20 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 57477 Tirupati-Guntakal Passenger will depart Tirupati at 22 30 hrs and arrive Guntakal at 09 05 hrs the next day.

Enroute, the trains will stop at Hanuman Circle Halt, Gulapalayamu, Venkatampalle, Khaderpet, Kalluru, Garladinne, Anantapur, Zangalapalli, Chigicherla, Dharmavaram, Chennekuntapalli, Mudigubba, Kalasamudram, Kadiri, Nallacheruvu, Danakallu, Mulakalacheruvu, Thummanamgutta, Kurabalakota, Madanapalli Road, Vayalpadu, Kalikiri, Piler, Pulichurla, Damalacheruvu, Pakala, Panapakam and Chandragiri in both the directions.

The train will fulfill the aspirations of the people of the region for an overnight convenient passenger train service between Guntakal and the most famous pilgrimage, educational and business centre Viz., Tirupati via. Dharmavaram and Pakala.
